We will contact you later by email with items that need your attention, if we find any. We’ll let you know if it’s urgent. Most of the time it’s general maintenance. Sunshine Roofing Gutter Cleaning and Once Over Service

We are offering a service where we come to clean the roof and gutters of debris and give the roof a look over. We check and clean the dryer vent if it is on the roof, Check and Clean roof drains, along with checking other vents and penetrations. Anything we find that is above and beyond the Roofing Once Over service itself will be listed and brought to your attention via email with a separate service proposal. We offer this as a periodic service. Once we do a once over we’ll set reminder for 6 months or another time interval. It depends. We have some every 3 months, but most are every 6 months or 12 months. The object of this service is to attend to the obvious periodic maintenance items on your roof. Also, to put experienced eyes on your roof periodically to see if anything is needing attention.

Clean Roof and Gutters of Debris

Roof Debris Removal on a Mobile Home — Roof Debris Removal

Remove the Debris from the roof, gutters, and downspouts. From the roof and then the gutters. It’s not a wash. We don’t usually use water, but every now and again we may have to. It is just that, to clear all debris from roof and gutters. It also allows us to check things out while we are there. Not a certified inspection, but a once over. We can always come back with a different objective.

Check and Clean Roof Drains and/or Scuppers

Debris piles up on roof drains gets trapped at these areas. We will check to ensure they are clear. The drain pipes themselves may have to be cleared as well, this may end up at our normal time and material rate. Missing strainers will also be listed.

Check and Clean Dryer Vent Hood Roofside

Check and Clean Dryer Vent Hood Roofside – Clean lint from the roof only. If the duct is also clogged, this will need to be handled by the dryer vent cleaning service or others. They have tools to get the ducts clean.

Checking on the dryer vent to assure it is not clogged periodically may also help with the electric bill.

Check Attic Vent screens and Ridgevent End Plugs

The attic vents are a rodent access point. If we see any holes or access points we’ll bring to your attention. Any screens or repairs will be quoted extra. This will also include ridgevent end plugs, sometimes they work themselves out and are an open hole for rodents.

Check for Missing Shingles

We look for areas of the roof that are disturbed or stick out from the rest. An area of missing shingles or caps is an urgent matter, especially if it is Asphalt shingles. Usually, something is going on right there. High nails or protruding fasteners are also urgent items we find.

Check for Broken Tiles

Check and Count Broken Tiles. Count all broken tiles and hip caps. WIth broken tiles it is hit or miss as to whether we can get exact colors. We have ways of blending and have a large boneyard of extra and salvaged tile. This will be quoted in extra proposal.

Check for Missing or Raised screws in Metal Roofing

Check for Missing or High Screws in METAL ROOFING – a couple of screws can be handled while we are there, if we happen to have them on hand. Otherwise, this will be quoted in the extra proposal.

Check for ANYthing Obvious that sticks out

Anything that sticks out to us we will be quoted on the proposal. This will include protruding fasteners, special situations, rodent access, tree cutting recommendations, cracks in walls and stucco, and other general items that may need attention.

Gutter and Downspout Repairs

If the gutters and gutter system need work we’ll bring that to your attention as well. Could be dinged up gutter or downspout to missing pieces to it just needs a tune up with screws.

Check Exterior Soffit for Missing panels or Holes

We check the soffit around the perimeter. This is another access point for rodents. Bees can take advantage of holes like this one pictured above.

Check for Rotten Fascia

Rotten fascia is often a sign of more trouble. We have found rotten fascia in the past and it can be isolated to the fascia or further water damage up into the roof and maybe even beyond the inside wall.

What am I signing up for?

What am I signing up for exactly? How Much does this cost? We are currently offering the “Sunshine Roofing Gutter Cleaning and Once Over Service” to most single family homes and smaller commercial buildings for $260.00. This would cover most of the South West Florida area. South line would be Everglades City and North Line would be Colonial Blvd in Ft. Myers. What you are signing up for is either for us to come do a Roofing Once Over service Right NOW (or soon) or just put you on the reminder list for a point in the future, like “after summer” or “in the fall”. Then we could come do it then. Either way, we’ll contact you by email before doing anything. We also offer this service where we schedule to come on a regular basis. We have several clients where we email a reminder and don’t wait for a response to schedule and get the once over done. Most customers want us to wait for a response before scheduling. Customers with Gate Access it is a given to wait for a response. This service is similar to a regular Pool service, Lawn service, or a Pest Control service.

It’s Good to be on a Roofers Email List Come Storm Time.

If you are getting reminded every 6 months to get your roof and gutters cleaned of debris, then you’ll get to know us after a while. No guarantees on the storm thing, but we do our best. We will tend to go to a previous client before a new client. Problem is they all need us at one moment after a hurricane and it breaks the system. Normal events we can handle and we’ll do our best to put Roofing Once Over and previous clients first whenever possible.
